Surface and core

Qatar Maroon's racquet surface is built from 12K carbon fibre, a heavier weave than the standard 1K construction, chosen for extra stiffness and a firmer response off the strings. Beneath it sits an EVA core, EVA meaning ethylene vinyl acetate, set on the medium-to-hard side and paired with a high-placed sweet spot for players looking for pace over forgiveness. A matte, sand-textured finish covers the surface, giving the strings grip to generate spin even at higher swing speeds. The combination is built for direct, attacking play rather than a softer, all-round feel.

The story

NOPA started in Qatar, on courts where padel was still finding its footing outside Europe and South America. The Qatar racquet carries that beginning directly: deep maroon detailing lifted from the national flag, set against a 12K carbon face built for players who hit hard and mean it.

Qatar has since become a fixture on the sport's calendar, hosting the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour and, coming up, the FIP World Cup in 2026 and again in 2028. This racquet is built for that level: a Diamond shape and high sweet spot for pace, paired with an EVA core tuned for a firmer response. Even at higher swing speeds, the matte, sand-textured surface keeps its grip on the ball.
